“Performance without limits – a pioneering power concept for hearing devices”
The achievements of digital hearing system technology come at a cost. As modern high-tech hearing technology becomes ever more powerful, increasing levels of electrical power are required. Innovative chips with intelligent power management compensate for this; however, power requirements remain a crucial consideration.
The presentation introduces a newly developed power concept for hearing systems which overcomes limitations and consequently provides new scope for future performance improvements to hearing devices. For the first time ever, sustainable fuel cell technology now enables hearing devices to be operated without batteries. Tiny fuel cells generate the steady supply of electricity required, for example, for highly sophisticated signal processing and streaming. These innovative fuel cell hearing devices do not require a battery compartment, which also offers benefits in terms of design and ease of use.
The simple refilling process and constant power generation mean that the hearing devices are always ready for use.
